• Students must disclose when AI tools assist with assignments, practice planning, or musical analysis.

• Students must acknowledge the role of AI in their work, whether using AI-generated sheet music, accompaniment tracks, or practice recommendations.

• Students are expected to be transparent about any external technological assistance they have utilized in recitals, evaluations, and project submissions.

• When students use an AI-assisted rhythm correction tool during practice, they should mention this in their portfolio notes or discussions with instructors.

Creativity: AI as a Partner, Not a Replacement - At AMM, we cultivate students' creativity.

• AI may serve as a source of ideas, practice feedback, or inspiration, but the final expression must be driven by the student's artistic choices, skill, and interpretation.

• We encourage students to use AI to expand their creative process, not shortcut it.

• True musicianship comes from thoughtful decision-making, emotional expression, and technical mastery — elements that cannot be outsourced to algorithms.

• A student might explore AI-generated accompaniment variations to inspire phrasing decisions, but their live performance must showcase their musical interpretation.

• Students must take full ownership of their learning progress, practice routines, and performances, even when utilizing AI tools to assist along the way.

• AI should enhance discipline, not replace it — using a smart metronome app does not replace the effort required to master timing through dedicated practice.

• We teach students to value persistence, deep listening, and self-correction as irreplaceable pillars of musical growth.

• While AI can suggest practice schedules, students are responsible for honestly managing their time, reflecting on their improvement, and setting new challenges under teacher guidance

Respect for Intellectual Property: Honouring Creative Rights - AMM fosters a strong sense of ethics and respect for the creative work of others.

• Students must respect copyright, licensing agreements, and attribution practices, even when working with AI-generated content.

• Music sourced, modified, or inspired by AI models must be appropriately cited for assignments, projects, recitals, or public sharing.

• This principle extends beyond school into students' future academic, professional, and artistic endeavors.

• If a student uses an AI tool to generate a backing track or a new musical arrangement for a recital, they must credit the original sources appropriately in the concert program or submission notes.
