AMM’s Core Principles for AI Usage in Music Education
At Art Meets Music Academy, a true music education goes far beyond in-class activities. By thoughtfully integrating Open Educational Resources (OER) into our programs, we allow every student to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. It's one of the methods we use to nurture independent musicianship, encourage lifelong learning, and make the highest-quality music education accessible to all who walk through our doors.
How Students at AMM Use OERs
-
Research for preparing music sheets/concert program notes
-
Listening assignments to expand repertoire knowledge
-
Theory reinforcement exercises between lessons
-
Creative projects where students explore different musical genres

Introduction to Shared Files and Folders
Our website provides shared files and folders to make it easy for students and faculty to access, collaborate on, and share important documents and resources. These shared spaces are designed to support group projects, class materials, and creative work, helping everyone stay organized and connected.
Guideline for Responsible Use
To ensure our shared files and folders remain useful, secure, and respectful of everyone’s work, please follow these guidelines:
-
Access Responsibly: Only open, edit, or download files and folders you have permission to use. Respect privacy and follow any access controls set by instructors or administrators.
-
Organize Clearly: Use clear file and folder names so everyone can easily find what they need. Avoid creating deep or confusing folder structures-keep folders no more than 4–5 levels deep.
-
Share Thoughtfully: Only share files or folders with those who need access, and use the correct sharing settings to protect sensitive information. If a file is only for a specific person or group, share just that item, not the entire folder.
-
Keep It Clean: Regularly review and delete drafts, duplicates, or files that are no longer needed. Remove files you’ve only temporarily placed for others to download, and help keep our shared space clutter-free.
-
Follow Copyright and Policy: Do not upload or share pirated, copyrighted, or inappropriate content. Only share files that you have the right to use and that follow school policies.
-
Audit and Review: Be mindful of your activity in shared folders. Administrators may audit file access and sharing to ensure security and compliance.
-
Ask for Help: If you’re unsure how to use shared folders, ask your instructor or refer to our help resources. Take time to learn about folder structure, file naming, and adding shared folders to your own drive for easy access.
By using shared files and folders responsibly, we create a safe, organized, and collaborative environment for everyone. Thank you for helping us maintain a positive digital space!
